Glonk: The Cook

Now if there's one thing I can't do, it's cook. No, wait I can do some things, like microwave lasagne, but once when I tried to make fairy cakes I had to phone up a mate to ask her how to turn on an oven. Anyway, the point is, my Nanna just gave me the recipe to her fudge cake, and when I get back to Finland I'm gonna try making it. Incase anyone else is feeling peckish, here comes a Newton-Syms special...

Nanna's No-Bake Fudge Cake

Ingredients
4oz butter
3oz golden syrup
1oz cocoa
2oz raisins
8oz crushed biscuits
4oz plain chocolate (opt for Cadburies if poss!!)
1oz glace cherries, chopped

Grease a 6-inch loose based cake tin.
Place the butter, syrup, cocoa and the rasins in a pan and heat gently until the butter has melted. Remove from heat and stir in the crushed biscuits. Press into prepared tin and smooth top with the back of a spoon. Melt the chocolate in a bowl over hot water. Spread over the top of cake and leave to set. Decorate with cherries. Remove from tin and cut into wedges.

See how you go, and if you have any complaints, blame my Nanna, not me!
